Why is my email search starting only in July 2009?

I am having an issue searching my email. Have has this account since 2003. Within the last few weeks, when I do an email search, I only get results from dates beginning July 10, 2009--no search results from any date sooner. No adjustments are available or work to correct the problem. Help!|||There have been problems with the search feature for the last few months for everyone, Yahoo said they are trying to fix it, they didn't say how long it will take.|||I cannot get a single accurate search today. today it not only will not show that email and attachment, it won't show me one single accurate response. I started trying to refine the search by searching for things I could see clearly at the top of the box, but it's a complete failure today.
